A minimum of a 56K dial-up connection is required to access the distance learning courses.  A broadband connection such as Cable or DSL is highly recommended because many videos will be streamed through the Internet.

Below is a list of all required software that will be used in the courses.  All required software can be downloaded from the Internet or by visiting http://ksdl.ksbe.edu/software.

Microsoft Office is recommended but not required. There will be some downloadable documents that you can use in the course. Anti-Virus Software
It is highly recommended that you install anti-virus software on your computer to help prevent viruses from infecting your computer and others.  Please note that you must update your anti-virus software’s virus definitions regularly in order for it to be effective.  This update normally takes place automatically in most anti-virus software.
