A'o Kumu Registration

Culture-based Education & 21st Century Skills (Foundation I)

  • Course Dates: July 21 – August 29 (PDE3 reflects four weeks of review time post-instruction)
  • Registration: April 7 – May 2

Registration is limited to the first 36 people to register in PDE3. There are also a limited number of seats for Native Hawaiian Charter School educators. Those who have previously taken our courses are also eligible to register.

Foundation I is online, but you will be required to attend a mandatory face-to-face workshop held on July 26 2014, 12:00-4:00pm at Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Campus, O‘ahu. Neighbor island participants will have to pay for their own air transportation to and from O‘ahu; however upon completion of the course, receipt of the airfare cost may be submitted for reimbursement by Kamehameha Schools. Transportation will be provided from Honolulu International Airport to Kamehameha Schools and back to the airport. Please arrange for HNL airport pickup by 11:30am.

For those of you currently enrolled in the original A’o Kumu pathway, we will continue to offer:

Level 2: Ke Kumu * This is the final offering of Level 2
Level 3: Ka Hua

  • Course Dates: July 7 – October 24
  • Registration: April 7 – May 2
